Description

At the press of a button the Leica DISTO™ D1 measures heights and distances of up to 40 m quickly and reliably. The result is easily read from off the clear illuminated dislay. Sagging measuring tapes, or an assistant to hold the tape measure at the other end, are things of the past. Now anyone can measure fast and efficiently single-handedly, and even record the measurements without pen and paper.

Enhanced functionality with the Leica DISTO™ sketch app

Using the improved DISTO™ sketch app, layouts and sketches as well as photos can be
digitally created and documented with the precise measuring data of the Leica DISTO™ D1. At the same time layouts are completed with areas and perimeters. The documents created can easily be sent via e-mail or saved to smartphones and tablets. Thus expensive errors due to inaccurate sketches, transfer errors and misunderstandings are eliminated.

What Bluetooth® technology is integrated in the Leica DISTO™ D1?

The Leica DISTO™ D1 has Bluetooth® SMART. The device works with smartphones or tablets with Bluetooth® 4.0, or which are “Smart Ready”. It is also a requirement that the operating system supports this Bluetooth® standard which is the case for iOS devices, Android devices 4.3 or higher, and Windows 8.1 or higher.

Can measurement data be sent from a Leica DISTO™ D1 to iOS mobile devices?

Yes, the Leica DISTO™ D1 can communicate with iOS mobile devices. It’s possible to send measuring data to an iPhone (iPhone 4S or newer), iPad3 or newer, all iPad mini (> Bluetooth® 4.0). The DISTO™ must be used with an app (e.g. Leica DISTO™ sketch).

Can measuring data be sent from a Leica DISTO™ D1 to Android devices?

Yes, the Leica DISTO™ D1 can communicate also with Android devices, with operating system 4.3 or higher, and which have integrated Bluetooth 4.0. The Leica DISTO™ must be used with an app (e.g. Leica DISTO™ sketch).

Can measuring data be sent from a Leica DISTO™ D1 to a Windows computer?

It is possible to send data to computers running with Windows 8.1 by using the free software DISTO transfer. This free software can be download from the DISTO webpage. Windows 7 and older Windows operating systems do not support Bluetooth 4.0 and therefore do not support data transfer from the Leica DISTO™ D1.

Do Leica offer apps for the Leica DISTO™ ?

Yes. Leica offer “Leica DISTO™ sketch”. The app is available free of charge for iOS devices on iTunes, and for Android devices on Google play.
